Hi, my name is Joe from Speed Karting Warrington and on behalf of Going Karting I am going to run through some safety precautions with you on behalf of GoingKarting.co.uk.

Before going out on the circuit we need to get dressed correctly with all the safety equipment, they include; a race suit, a helmet liner, gloves and most importantly of all, a safety helmet.

First item of safety clothing we have is the racing suit. This protects your own clothing and most suits are fire retardant. Make sure the suit is fascinated up correctly without any of your clothing visible and the belt must be fastened.

The next item we have is the helmet liner, this is for hygiene and to make sure when you're putting it on you have clear visibility.

Then we have a helmet which of course must be on, making sure it is a nice snug fit, not too loose or it will impede your visibility and most importantly of all, just in case you come out of the kart or have an accident, it must be fastened correctly.

And then last but not least we have a pair of gloves. Most gloves will have grips on the palms to help with the steering of the kart later on.
